These are the ingredients:
  • 400 g of flour 1 tablespoon anise liqueur to
  • 2 tablespoon oil 2 eggs 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • baking powder a pinch of salt icing sugar
  • half a glass of orange juice
  • frying oil
Preparation
Work together the flour, eggs, sugar and vanilla and juice until mixture is very smooth and compact. Add a pinch of salt, the anise liqueur and oil and keep working the dough until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed together and the mixture is firm, smooth and homogeneous.
At this point, formed of strings of dough about an inch thick and cut into pieces 2 inches long, and fry a bit 'at a time in hot oil and a low heat, stirring the pan until it is well puffy and golden brown and until they begin to float.
Once ready, take your dry crackers on a paper towel, sprinkle with icing sugar!
